Our Story

Cincinnati's charter yacht, sailing from Dayton, Kentucky since 2003

Since 2003, From the Same Dock

The Destiny has sailed from 100 O'Fallon Avenue in Dayton, Kentucky since 2003. The dock sits five minutes from downtown Cincinnati, a short ride from Newport on the Levee, on the stretch of the Ohio River that puts the skyline, the Roebling Suspension Bridge, and both stadiums inside a single cruise.

For more than twenty years she's hosted weddings, corporate events, rehearsal dinners, and private parties, thousands of them, with a crew that knows the river and knows how a good night is supposed to run. The captain has cast off in every kind of weather, the bar staff have poured through a lot of toasts, and the galley has learned exactly how long a buffet line takes when the skyline comes into view and everyone drifts to the windows.

The Yacht

The Destiny is Cincinnati's only charter yacht. She carries up to 100 guests for a cocktail-style reception and seats 76 for dinner across three decks: two climate-controlled decks with a salon, a dance floor, and a full bar, and an open-air top deck built for sunsets over the skyline. A master stateroom doubles as the bridal suite, the sound system has DJ hookups, and a U.S. Coast Guard certified captain and crew run every sailing.

Every charter comes as one package: the yacht, the crew, chef-crafted catering, and a Kentucky ABC licensed bar. That's the whole point of a yacht wedding or a company night on the water. There's no venue to rent, no caterer to chase, and nothing to coordinate between vendors.

Meet The Destiny

2026: Two Boats, Two Names

For most of those years The Destiny sailed alongside the Spirit of Cincinnati, an authentic paddlewheeler, under one company: Queen City Riverboats. They're very different boats that draw very different nights. The Spirit is the classic dinner cruise, the narrated sightseeing tour, the family reunion for two hundred. The Destiny is the wedding, the client dinner, and the night that needs to feel like a getaway.

So in 2026 we gave each boat its own name and its own site. Queen City Riverboats keeps the paddlewheeler, the heritage cruises, and the ticketed public sailings. Destiny Yacht Charters is the yacht: weddings, corporate events, rehearsal dinners, private parties, and moonlight cruises. Same dock, same crew, same phone number. What changed is that you now get a team, a menu book, and a website that speak yacht and nothing else.

What to Expect

How We Work

The practical side of booking the yacht, in the order it usually happens.

Tour first

Most couples and planners start with a free 30-minute walkthrough at the dock. Walk the salon, stand on the top deck, and picture the night before you commit to anything.

Schedule a tour

One package, one quote

The yacht, the captain and crew, chef-crafted catering, and your bar package come together as one package on one quote. Tell us the date and headcount and you get a real number, not a rate card.

Your vendors are welcome

DJs, bands, photographers, florists, and officiants all come aboard. Outside caterers are welcome for an additional fee. Outside alcohol never is; every pour comes from our Kentucky ABC licensed bar.

A real weather plan

We cruise rain or shine on climate-controlled decks. If severe weather or a Coast Guard river closure forces a change, we reschedule at no charge.
