Weddings on the Water
Cincinnati's Only Yacht Wedding Venue
Exchange vows on the open water with the Cincinnati skyline behind you. The Destiny hosts ceremonies and receptions for up to 100 guests, she's the only yacht in the city that can, and she sails into 2027 freshly renovated.
One City. One River. One Yacht.
Every couple wants a venue their guests haven't already seen twice. In Cincinnati, there's exactly one yacht you can get married on, and you're looking at her. While every ballroom in town competes on chandeliers and square footage, The Destiny offers something no other wedding venue in Cincinnati can copy: a celebration that moves. Your ceremony starts at the dock, your cocktail hour cruises past the Roebling Bridge, and your first dance happens with the skyline turning gold behind you.
The Destiny carries up to 100 guests for a cocktail-style reception or 76 for a seated dinner, with climate-controlled decks, a dance floor, a professional sound system, and a master stateroom bridal suite. This winter she gets a full interior renovation: new flooring, new ceilings, a new bar, and a dedicated below-deck bridal suite, so 2027 weddings sail on a brand-new boat. Catering and bar are part of the package, so there's one team, one bill, and nothing to coordinate between vendors.

How Much Does a Yacht Wedding Cost in Cincinnati?
Every Destiny wedding is quoted as one package: the yacht with captain and crew, full-service catering, and your bar package. There's no separate venue rental fee, no outside-vendor coordination, and no surprise line items at the end.
Where the number lands depends on your guest count, your menu, your bar, and the date. Saturdays in peak season book first and price highest, while Friday and Sunday evenings, weekdays, and shoulder-season dates leave real room in the budget.
When couples compare us against a traditional venue plus separate catering, bar, rentals, and a view, the yacht usually comes out even or ahead. Tell us your date and guest count and we'll build you a real quote.
The Practical Details
The Season
We sail April through October. May, June, September, and October are the most requested wedding months, and evenings on the water stay comfortable even in midsummer.
Your Vendors Are Welcome
DJs, bands, photographers, florists, and officiants are all welcome aboard. We'll coordinate load-in times at the dock so setup is done before guests arrive.
Decor
Bring your florals, signage, and centerpieces. We'll walk through what works on the water; open flames and confetti stay ashore.
Getting Married Legally
Bring your own officiant or ask us for recommendations. Most of our couples use a Kentucky marriage license since we sail from Dayton, Kentucky; your officiant can point you in the right direction.
Boarding & Timing
Guests board about 30 minutes before we cast off, and we'll help you time the cruise so vows or cocktail hour land at golden hour over the skyline.
Hotels & Room Blocks
Newport on the Levee and downtown Cincinnati hotels are 5 to 10 minutes from our dock, which makes room blocks and shuttles easy.
Accessibility
The main deck is wheelchair accessible. Tell us about any mobility needs in advance and we'll make sure boarding is smooth.
The Rehearsal Dinner
Start the wedding weekend on the water. Many couples book a casual cruise the night before for out-of-town guests.

“As part of a bus trip, we went aboard the yacht and had supper buffet, music, and trip down the Ohio River. It was such a unique experience especially going outside in the glow of the city's lights. We had a great duet singing for us which made the evening go too quickly.”

Cincinnati Yacht Wedding FAQ
Can you have a wedding on a boat in Cincinnati?
Yes. The Destiny is the only yacht wedding venue in Cincinnati. She hosts full ceremonies and receptions on the Ohio River for up to 100 guests, departing from Dayton, Kentucky, minutes from downtown.
How many guests can The Destiny hold for a wedding?
Up to 100 guests for a cocktail-style reception, or 76 for a seated dinner. If your list is bigger, ask us about creative formats; a heavy-appetizer reception often fits more people than a plated dinner.
How much does it cost to get married on The Destiny?
Your quote bundles the yacht, captain and crew, catering, and bar into one package with no separate venue fee. Pricing depends on guest count, menu, bar package, and date. Contact us with your date and headcount for a real number.
Can we have the ceremony itself on the yacht?
Absolutely. Many couples hold the ceremony on the open-air deck at sunset, then move to cocktail hour and dinner as the yacht cruises. Reception-only bookings after a church or venue ceremony are just as popular.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We cruise rain or shine. The Destiny's climate-controlled interior decks keep the celebration comfortable in any forecast, and if severe weather or a Coast Guard river closure forces a change, we'll reschedule at no charge.
Is there a bridal suite on board?
Yes. The master stateroom serves as a private bridal suite where the wedding party can get ready, touch up, and take a quiet minute before the ceremony. This winter's renovation adds a dedicated below-deck bridal suite, ready for 2027 weddings.
Is The Destiny being renovated?
Yes. She goes into the yard this winter for new flooring, new ceilings, a brand-new bar, and a below-deck bridal suite, returning for the April 2027 season. If you're booking a 2027 date, you're booking the renovated yacht.
Can we bring our own DJ, band, or photographer?
Yes. The Destiny has a professional sound system with DJ hookups, and outside vendors like DJs, bands, photographers, and florists are always welcome. We're happy to share a list of vendors who know the boat.
Where does the yacht depart from, and is there parking?
We depart from 100 O'Fallon Avenue in Dayton, Kentucky, about five minutes from downtown Cincinnati. Our free lot has 152 spaces, is handicap accessible, and fits shuttles and coaches.
Do you host small or intimate weddings?
Yes. Weekday and Sunday dates are ideal for micro weddings and elopement-style ceremonies, and the yacht feels just as special with 30 guests as it does with 100.
How far in advance should we book a wedding date?
We recommend 9 to 12 months ahead for Saturday dates in the April through October season. Fridays, Sundays, and weekdays often have availability closer in. Popular sunset time slots go first.
